Mansions of Georgia Club, Sta. Rosa
Posted on May 27 2006 | Filed in: Laguna, Sta. Rosa
Georgia Club is an upscale community that combines old-world charm and world-class development, providing its residents with what Brittany calls a “lifescape,” a thematically influenced, total living environment. The Mansions of Georgia Club makes use of classic American Southern architecture (i.e., porches).
Georgia Club is being built on 30 hectares initially, is roughly rectangular in shape, and is in a generally northeast to southwest orientation on the left of the Sta. Rosa highway to Tagaytay from the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX).
The project is adjacent to the area’s other prime developments — Hacienta Sta. Elena, Brittany’s Bellereve, Fontamara, Promenade and La Residencia.
The residential hub is just a 45-minute drive from the Makati CBD and a quick 25-minute drive from Alabang either through the Sta. Rosa exit of the South Luzon Expressway, or the newly opened Asia Brewery/Greenfield exit, allowing residents to bypass the certain traffic spots in Laguna.
The Georgia Club is near some of the best educational institutions — from pre-schools to universities and graduate schools south of Metro Manila:
Acacia School
De La Salle
St. Scholastica
Don Bosco
Ateneo Graduate School
The oldest university in Asia, the University of St. Tomas, will build a 45-hectare campus and teaching hospital in Sta. Rosa. The new UST complex will enjoy a scenic view of Mt. Makiling, which helps create an environment conducive to learning.
Geogia Club also allows residents the enjoyment of leisurely activities at neighboring premier golf courses and country clubs (i.e., Sta. Elena Golf and Country Club, Canlubang Golf and Country Club, and The Country Club), relaxation in nearby Tagaytay, or weekend breaks on the beaches of Batangas.
Location and Road Infrastructure
The development of Georgia club in the south is based on key reasons of available land for the development of upscale communities, freedom from congestion and pollution, and a better road network:
- The South Luzon Expressway is the major southern artery to and from Makati, the country’s premier business and financial district.
- The planned C-6 along Laguna de Bay will provide access from points north and east such as Quezon City, Mandaluyong, Pasig, Antipolo, Taguig and Makati to Parañaque, Alabang-Muntinlupa and other points south.
- From the Alabang-Zapote Road, the expanded, four-lane Daanghari highway is a corridor to the Molino-Palparan Highway, which links the Coastal Road on the right, and the Governor’s Drive on the left, which in turn leads to Tagaytay or Batangas, and the Carmona Interchange on the SLEX.
- On the other side, from Manila and Pasay, the Coastal Road or Manila-Cavite Expressway, complemented by the Diosdado Macapagal Highway, leads to Cavite and other points in Calabarzon.
Georgia Club is envisioned to attract executives of industrial enterprises in the metro south as well as up-market families with business and professional interests in Makati and places farther south.
